168 Hours

I get the paper in the morning

and I memorize the pertinent news

for future reference

I watch my tv in the evening

and digest it with my dinner

and make my comments

I renew all my subscriptions

on the first notice of warning

to keep 'em coming

I got a stereo the size of my car

I need most of my apartment

just to keep it running

where there's a want there's a will

where there's a will there's a way

so I work down at the shopping mall

24 hours each day

I read the wall street journal

I watch the dow jones average

I watch it set the records

I buy a used car every calendar year

take a hammer to my old one

have it towed off by a wrecker

I got a mobile home I take to the beach

with a little statue jockey

impressing all the neighbors

got a closet full of clothing

and it's all by some designer

in case I'm in the papers

well

that's 168 hours a week

sometimes it's hard to find time just to take a leak

but when business is slow I can usually sleep

working 24 hours

got a schedule to keep

I make hundreds of dollars each week
